I was at an Apple store on Saturday. Wanted to stream audio from my mini mac to my bose system. The associate recommended this cable. He went to amazon to show me, I quickly read about it, price was fine so I logged in and ordered. Monday morning, my package shows up. I install and great sound. Great Service.
Excellent Optical Cable February 10, 2010

I purchased this cable to connect my Apple Airport Express to my Pioneer Receiver. The cable was priced slightly higher than the very cheaply made ones, but much less than you would pay for a 'premium' cable. The item came packaged in a simple zip-lock bag, which was a breeze to unpack. I plugged in one end into my Airport Express and the other into my receiver and that was all the setup that was required. The sound quality is excellent and I can tell the build quality on the cable is top notch.

I just upgraded from analog to this cable and the sound out of my MacBook is more than noticeably better. I was actually surprised at the difference. Everything sounds much clearer and if we happen to be watching something we've downloaded, it comes with surround sound.

Worked as advertised for a couple months. Tripped over the cable and bent the mini end. The signal still works but I can tell it's about to fall apart.

This is an excellent toslink/optical cable that has performed perfectly. I have used it to replace an analog RCA-mini plug cable which connected my Apple Airport Express to my home theater receiver. This optical cable allows the receiver to do the D-to-A conversion. The sound is SO much better.
The cable itself is an ideal length and seems sturdy. The connectors fit well and the cable is resistant to unwanted bending. A quality piece at a fair price.
